Mamoun Aburas
Meet Mamoun, the esteemed founder of our music academy, with over 30 years of experience in classical and oriental music. Holding an Advanced Level Certificate from Trinity College London and formerly a member of the renowned Dubai Chamber Orchestra, his captivating performances have delighted audiences across Canada.
With a teaching career spanning two decades, Mamoun instills a deep love for the violin in students at all levels. His patient and dedicated approach creates an environment where students can thrive.
Dima Hassoun
Dima is an experienced music teacher with 18+ years of classroom and one-on-one instruction experience. She excels in evaluating students to determine their ideal instrument based on their interests and personalities.
Dima holds a Diploma in Music Teaching, RCM Elementary Piano Instructor certification, and a degree in Early Childhood Education (Mohawk College). She provides a nurturing learning experience for students of all levels.
Majd Aburas
Majd is an accomplished classical pianist with a rich educational background. He studied classical piano performance at the Dubai National Conservatory of Music and obtained his International Music Study Exam (IMSE) certification in 2019.
A former member of the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra and multi-year competition winner, Majd offers a comprehensive educational experience following the RCM curriculum.
Maya Aburas
An integral part of the Harmonic Academy family business, Maya serves as our dedicated Teaching Assistant and Media Coordinator. You may also recognize her bright energy on stage as the welcoming MC for our annual student recitals.
While currently navigating secondary school, Maya is a passionate musician in her own right. She has successfully completed her Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Level 6 Violin exam and is actively studying for her Level 8 certification. Her firsthand experience with the RCM curriculum makes her a fantastic and relatable resource for our younger students!
